About Us
A Social Enterprise on a Mission
Daniel Ross, a former Financial Counsellor from the Wimmera in regional Victoria, founded Financial Literacy Australia after seeing the severe impact of financial hardship on individuals and communities.
Financial Literacy Australia’s mission is to empower NDIS participants — Australia’s most vulnerable community — with the financial skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to live independently.
Financial Literacy Australia was founded in response to the severe impact of financial hardship in underserved regional and remote areas. We strive to ensure that every Australian with a disability has equal access to financial education and support to reduce or eliminate financial hardship and financial abuse.

Ready to Start Your Financial Journey?
When possible, we offer free or subsidised support* to participants who have exhausted their NDIS funding or face systemic restrictions.
*Free or subsidised services are provided based on an application to Financial Literacy Australia, and after consultation with your Support Coordinator, Plan Manager or Local Area Coordinator. Access is subject to application and availability.
Some of our services may be claimable through your NDIS plan depending on your circumstances. Individual results will vary depending on personal circumstances, commitment, and other factors, and so cannot be guaranteed. Please see our service terms for more information.
